The Main Purpose Of The Congregation The Oblates of St. Joseph promotes the glory of God by the sanctification of its members and the exercises of the apostolate, and it gives witness to the Evangelical counsels by the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience. In the works of Apostolates, the OSJ have the following focus: Youth Apostolate, Parish Apostolate, Missionary Apostolate, Social Apostolate and Apostolate of the Devotion of St. Joseph. To spread the Gospel message of Christ as educators, retreat masters, parish priests, youth counsellors, family life workers, missionaries, ministers of children and the elderly etc and to propagate devotions to St Joseph. They serve God and neighbour in imitation of St. Joseph.

Faithful to the charism of their founder, the Oblates of St. Joseph are called to reproduce in their lives and in the ministry the Christian mystery as it was lived by St. Joseph in union with God, in humility, in hidden life, in hard work and in total dedication to the interests of Jesus. Their lifestyle is summed up with the words of their founder: Be Carthusians indoors and Apostles outdoors.
At present the Oblates of St. Joseph work in the following countries: ITALY, PHILIPPINES BRAZIL, USA, PERU, MEXICO, POLAND, INDIA, BOLIVIA, NIGERIA, MOZAMBIQUE, INDONESIA, AUSTRALIA, SPAIN, CANADA, EL SALVADOR, UNITED KINGDOM (UK).

You should be below 23 years old. If you are a graduate, you should not be above 25 years old You must be willing to undergo seminary formation, a practicing catholic, have a good health and have at least five (5) credits in one sitting or six (6) credits in two sittings, which must include English Language, CRS, Maths, one Art Subject and at most two or more subjects from Social science and Science in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/SSCE. You must be able to write and pass University Matriculation Examinations or its equivalent (JAMB, UTME, POST-UME etc). If so, feel free to write us.
